| The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery offers specialized
programs for patients of all ages with congenital cardiac disorders, complex
arrhythmia's or progressive cardiovascular disease. Services include coronary
artery bypass grafts, valve repair or replacement, repair of difficult
congenital defects and arterial anomalies including surgical palliation
for hypoplastic left heart syndrome, electrophysiological surgery, heart,
heart-lung and lung transplants, great vessel and peripheral vascular surgery,
and automatic implantable defibrillator and pacemaker implantation. The
Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery also offers comprehensive consultation
and treatment including thoracoscopy for patients with tumors, deformities,
or other problems related to the lungs, chest wall, esophagus and mediastinum. |
